A transaction statement (거래명세서) is a detailed document used in Korean business transactions to record the specifics of goods or services supplied. This generator auto-calculates supply amounts, 10% VAT, and grand totals from item quantities and unit prices, eliminating manual calculation errors.

Key Features

Auto-Calculate Supply, VAT & Totals

Enter quantity and unit price per item, and the supply amount (qty x price), VAT (supply x 10%), and line total are calculated instantly. Grand totals update in real-time as you add or modify items.

Korean Amount Text Conversion

The grand total is automatically converted to Korean text format (e.g., "금 일억이천삼백사십오만육천칠백팔십구원정"). This eliminates errors in handwritten Korean amount expressions required on formal Korean business documents.

Dynamic Item Rows

Add or remove item rows freely. There is no limit on the number of line items you can include in a single statement.

Standard Format Preview & Print

Preview the completed statement in standard Korean transaction statement format, then print directly. The layout is optimized for A4 paper output.

How to Use

Step 1: Enter Business Information

Fill in the supplier (seller) and buyer (purchaser) details — company name, business registration number, representative, business type, category, address, and phone.

Step 2: Enter Transaction Details

Set the transaction date and statement number.

Step 3: Add Items

Enter item name, specification, quantity, and unit price. All calculated fields update automatically. Use the "Add Item" button for additional rows.

Step 4: Preview & Print

Click Preview to see the completed statement, then Print to output it on A4 paper.

Tips

Transaction Statement vs. Tax Invoice

A transaction statement is a reference document detailing the transaction, while a tax invoice (세금계산서) is a legally required VAT document. In practice, both are often issued together.

Record Retention

Under Korean tax law, transaction-related documents must be retained for 5 years. Saving a PDF copy is a convenient way to maintain digital records.

VAT-Exempt Items

For VAT-exempt items (agricultural products, educational services, etc.), set the unit price accordingly and note that VAT will still be auto-calculated at 10%. For exempt items, enter the price and manually note the exemption.

FAQ

Is a company seal required on transaction statements?

Not legally required, but it is standard practice in Korean business. You can stamp the printed document or add a digital signature.

Can I enter VAT-inclusive prices?

This tool assumes unit prices are VAT-exclusive (supply amount basis). If your price includes VAT, divide by 1.1 before entering the unit price.

Does this work on mobile?

Yes, it's fully responsive. However, for printing, a desktop environment is recommended for the best A4 output quality.
